Bet your house (responsibly) on Nebraska +3 this weekend

I'm not the first guy to this take. I have to imagine every person following college football drew their attention to this 12:00pm matchup to take a peak at the spread. I want to get out in front of this, I LOVE Dion and I LOVE Colorado, and I know saying I love them and then encouraging people to bet their house against them seems like a contradictory move, but I'm a complicated guy. 

Nebraska hasn't won a one score game since the Obama administration. That's an exaggeration, but it has been a long time. Over the last several years Nebraska has been bad, they're a way less likable team than Colorado, and if I was betting with my heart I would never touch Nebraska +3. But my brain tells me this is a big let down spot for the Buffs. No disrespect to their team, Dion, or anyone, it just is a let down spot. Pair that with the fact Nebraska is bound to win a close one and for that reason, I like the money line, but if they're going to give you 3 you might as well take the points, especially if you are responsibly putting your house on the line.

Declaring War on Duck Donuts

Never heard of Duck Donuts?  Consider yourself lucky.  I've had their donuts a couple times before and in all honesty...pretty good. The relatively small chain provides a range of customizable donuts. Again, as far as quality goes these donuts are bomb...no pun intended on the above image. Having said that, FUCK DUCK DONUTS.  The source of my hatred comes from an event this past Sunday September 18th 2022, a day that will live in infamy for the water-bird pastries. My wife and I stayed the night at my brother, and his wife's place and in the morning I offered to order donuts for everyone. I placed an online order with the Fairlawn location. Order went through, I received a confirmation for my order and a pick up time of 9:04am was sent to my email. When I arrived at Duck Donuts there was a sign on the door that said "Closed Today Due to Short Staffing." Annoying? Yes. Beau Gannon's Gossip Girl Recap - Episode One

Good people of the internet, I am asking you, to follow me, a 32 year old man, as I embark on a journey through one of television's most decorated, respected,  poignant examples of a late 2000's teen drama...Gossip Girl.  I have never watched Gossip Girl before this, and I know nothing about the show. Found out yesterday that Blake Lively, Tony Romo's brother-in-law, Cindy Lou Who, John Tucker's brother, and the girl from a Netflix movie (The Weekend Away...bad movie) are all in this show.  My initial reaction? I'm going to love it. Is it good? Verdict is still out on that...but regardless I am going to love it.  Here is my reaction to episode one:  I am team S.
