Power Ranking Little Debbie Seasonal Fall Treats
6. Pumpkin Spice Mini Donuts
Dry. I am not above Little Debbie snacks, I think most of these treats are fantastic, but I am not going to sit here and act like these donuts hold any weight against the rest of the heavy hitters. They're a bone dry, crumbly mess. They're the only snack on this list that I would completely pass on.
5. Chocolate Fall Party Cakes
This is a hot take, but across the board I prefer vanilla as a flavor to chocolate. Roast me. I know that's boring...it's quite literally vanilla. Having said that, I can't control my taste preferences. These cake treats are good...but there are other seasonal treats better than these...like...what is this shape? A hexagon? What does that have to do with the fall season? Is it a play on the word "hex" as in, spell casting? If so they really should pack three of these cakes in a package as opposed to two. Three six sided treats 6-6-6 would make these cakes a little spookier if that's what they're going for.
4. Brownie Pumpkins
3. Fall Party Cakes
I said it before and I'll say it again, the vanilla flavor is a better flavor than chocolate. Biggest knock on the Fall Party Cakes is the sprinkles on top are not nearly as good as the little crystalized sugar sprinkles on the Christmas Tree Party Cakes in the winter season. Similar to the Brownie Pumpkins, if there is a better version of your treat out there, then I can't, in good faith, put you in a top two spot.
2. Pumpkin Spice Rolls
Man these are GOOD. I almost had to give them the top spot, but I feel like they are relatively new, and out of respect, I couldn't place them at the top of the board. Similar to a Ho-Ho these treats are a perfect blend of flavors. The integrity of the snack holds together a little better than the Party Cakes as well. I think another thing that has to be mentioned is the originality. There is nothing quite like this treat any other time of year. Little Debbie was in her bag with this one. Homegirl wasn't running the same old plays, and for that she deserves recognition.
1. Pumpkin Delights
Again, I have never gathered opinions on Little Debbie snacks, and I feel like this might be a hot take. However, as their name suggests, these are delightful. I'm not even sure what they are. Sure, they're a cookie of some kind, but what is the gel-like substance in the eyes and mouth of the pumpkin? I was thinking about to make a homemade version of these treats, and I have no clue how you would capture that pumpkin flavored goo in the cookie. The Pumpkin Delights are getting the number one spot because they check all the boxes...they're tasty, festive, and just mysterious enough to ask yourself "should I be eating this?"
